In this course, students further their knowledge about Swedish literature characterized by multilingual voices. Literature concerning issues related to migration, integration and identity processes; Sweden as a host country; and longing and alienation are analyzed and discussed. Students develop the ability to analyze multilingualism in literature from various perspectives, and special focus is given to the author’s use of different varieties of language in fiction. Within the framework of the course, students perform a literary analysis of one or more literary texts of relevance.
