After having completed the dourse the student should in an African context be able to:

  • discuss and reflect on centrual issues relatec to language and nation and also to language and education policies
  • discuss human rights egarding language policy in different researchj prespectives
  • reflect on the notions unity/integration/unit in a bilingual perspective

From an african context the course dealrs with questions such as language and nation, teorritoriality versus nationality, the notions unity/integration/unit in a multilingual perspective, langue and education policies and dimensions of human rights regarding language policy.
