  • Development and Learning for Teachers in Secondary School, Years 7-9, 15 credits, or Development and Learning in Upper Secondary School, 15 credits

Summary in English

The overall goal is for students to develop skills in assessment and grading in secondary school as well as an understanding of various special educational perspectives relevant to the professional mission of the teacher.

After completing the course, the student shall be able to:

  • demonstrate an understanding of and problematize pupils’ learning as well as  assessment   and grading in relation to teaching and learning in secondary school
  • analyze, evaluate and communicate assessment and grading in relation to  different epistemological starting points and as based on formulations in the  policy documents regarding the professional mission and concepts of  knowledge
  • assess and grade pupils’ qualitatively different levels of subject specific ability  and knowledge
  • discuss and explain the different special education perspectives in relation to the professional practices of the subject teacher.
