Summary in English

This course introduces both national and international research on how pupils learn mathematics and how teaching can be organised, conducted and evaluated in order to facilitate this learning. Particular focus is placed upon the development of the students’ own mathematical competencies, mathematical knowledge and mathematical language. Through mathematical problem-solving, students are given the opportunity to create mathematical problems and through these, customise, vary and communicate mathematics in a manner that assists pupils’ learning in mathematics. Students are also given the opportunity to critically analyse worked solutions to mathematical problems.
