Summary in English

The overall objective of the course is for students to deepen their knowledge of the theory and method used in the subject of history.
The student will plan and execute an independent project presented in the form of a scientific thesis.
In the course the development of the subject of history is studied together with archive material and the use of theory and method.
The course also highlights what good scientific practice is and how researchers should act during the research process.
The course includes advanced studies in the following thematic areas, of which the student chooses one: The Presence of the Past. The Use and Abuse of History, Two aspects of the Holocaust, History of Youth in a Historical Perspective or Images of the Nordic region and the Nordic model.
