Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • explain central didactic and subject didactic concepts and theoretical models,
  • give an account of various theories of educational leadership in a didactic and professional ethical perspective based on the current curriculum,
  • critically reflect on the teaching subject in relation to subject didactic and curriculum theoretical perspectives based on the school‘s governing document,
  • independently and in collaboration with others, plan teaching in the subject of Physical Education and Health taking into account students‘ different conditions,
  • argue for own didactic choices in connection with planning subject teaching,
  • reflect on how one‘s own subject knowledge can be translated into teaching based on the purpose and central content of the governing documents,
  • demonstrate communicative ability in listening, speaking and writing as support for the educational activities.

 

Course Content

In the course, didactic questions and challenges are highlighted, which are specified and discussed with the help of didactic and subject didactic theory formation, curriculum theory and the school‘s governing documents. The course also deals with theories of pedagogical leadership where the student reflects on his own development as a subject teacher based on a professional ethical perspective. In the course, based on current governing documents and the different perspectives of the course, the student can make a lesson plan and argue for the didactic choices that are made.

This course cannot be counted towards the same degree along with courses that have equivalent content.
