Modules
1.
Knowledge and Learning, 5 Credits
After completing the module, students will be able to:
- demonstrate knowledge of different theories of knowledge, learning and development for young and adult students by analysing and discussing how different perspectives on knowledge, ability and learning have consequences for education
- demonstrate knowledge of how digital technology affects knowledge processes in education by discussing the digitalisation of schools
- demonstrate the ability to identify their need for continued development of their own teaching by describing and reflecting on their own development process in relation to perspectives on knowledge, expertise and learning
- demonstrate the ability for recipient and situation-adapted writing and constructive participation in conversations in academic contexts
- demonstrate the ability to use systematic methods based on theories of knowledge, learning and development to analyse and evaluate teaching in the subject they teach.
2.
Science and Proven Experience, 5 Credits
After completing the module, students will be able to:
- demonstrate knowledge of the importance of educational science research and proven experience for the pedagogical activities in the school
- demonstrate knowledge of and an ability to make use of central scientific theoretical concepts by seeking, reviewing and evaluating educational research with significance for their own professional work
- demonstrate the language skills that are required to make use of scientific texts and argue for their interpretations of these in speech and writing
- demonstrate knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods and research traditions, including research ethics issues, by comparing different research methods and reasoning as to the usefulness of different methods in different contexts.
3.
Assessment and Grading, 5 Credits
After completing the module, students will be able to:
- demonstrate in-depth knowledge of assessment and grading by problematising the significance of assessment for pupils’ learning in their own subject in relation to the teaching assignment
- demonstrate the ability to distinguish, analyse and evaluate pupils‘ different levels of subject-specific knowledge in relation to different epistemological starting points and based on the role of the teacher to increase pupils’ knowledge
- demonstrate the ability to support students’ continued learning by documenting and communicating the assessment of pupils’ knowledge in an appropriate manner.

- Qualifying and relevant knowledge in one or more vocational subjects in upper secondary school.
