Modules
1.
Leadership, 5 Credits
Upon completion of the module, students will be able to:
- demonstrate knowledge about theories on leadership, conflict management, motivation and the professional ethics of teachers
- demonstrate knowledge about the motivation and potential for learning of young and adult learners, and use this to plan and justify teaching choices
- demonstrate awareness of the challenges of leadership and based on relevant theories reflect on different ways to address these challenges in teaching situations
- demonstrate knowledge about educational leadership as based on democratic principles and from a perspective that takes professional ethics and sustainability into account
- demonstrate the ability to speak in the role of educational leader so that the message is clear
2.
Placement 1, 10 Credits
Upon completion of the module, students will be able to:
- demonstrate knowledge about the significance for teaching and learning of professional and subject-specific language, and demonstrate the ability to adapt their language to the subject being taught
- demonstrate the ability to plan teaching and to teach independently in varied forms with a view to the different needs and backgrounds of pupils and as based on school policy documents, theories about motivation, and approaches to language and knowledge development, in cooperation with active teachers
- demonstrate the ability to argue for their didactic choices when planning their teaching and when teaching
- demonstrate the ability to independently and critically reflect on their own teaching and the teaching of others by discussing teaching with others and relating it to school policy documents and didactics theory
- demonstrate the ability within education to develop skills together with others that have value for the profession
- demonstrate the ability, in compliance with school values, to initiate and maintain good relationships with pupils
- demonstrate communicative ability in the skills of listening, speaking and writing that support the learning process of pupils as part of cooperation with colleagues
- demonstrate the ability to use digital tools in a purposeful manner in their teaching, as well as to produce moving images
- demonstrate the ability to apply scientific method through the use of questionnaires
