Learning Outcomes
On completion of the course, students will be able to:
- give an account of basic knowledge of technology that is suitable for use in teaching in preschool and school years 1-6,
- discuss and problematise central connections between technology, human beings, society, and nature in current and historical contexts,
- produce and evaluate technical constructions,
- apply the control of technical artefacts through simple programming and reflect on how programming can be used in teaching,
- discuss pupils‘ learning, interests, and concept formation in technology,
- plan and reflect on teaching in technology based on the curriculum and subject didactics literature,
- discuss and problematise assessment and grades as ways to develop pupils‘ learning in the area of technology.

The grading scale used for the final course grade is U–VG.
Grades are reported as follows:
- Seminars, oral and written presentations and written report - 7.5 Credits | U–VG

This course cannot be counted towards the same degree along with courses that have equivalent content.
If the student has received a decision/recommendation granting study support from Dalarna University because of a disability, then the examiner has the right to offer an alternative examination arrangement. The examiner takes into account the objectives in the course syllabus when deciding whether the examination can be adapted in accordance with the decision/recommendation.
