Learning Outcomes

On completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • plan, implement and evaluate training sessions in sports, taking into account aspects relating to inclusion and norm-critical considerations,
  • discuss the role of the coach from various didactic perspectives.

Course Content

The course examines the role of the coach from various didactic perspectives, with particular emphasis on inclusion and norms related to different movement cultures within sports. Students will practice planning, implementing and evaluating training sessions, as well as how aspects relating to inclusion fall within a coaches role. Didactic discussions related to the coaching role are continuously addressed throughout the course.

Assessment

  • Project work – individual documented portfolio of training sessions and practical presentations
  • Written individual and written group assignments

 

 

Grades

The grading scale used for the final course grade is U–VG.

Grades are reported as follows:

  • Coaching and Sport Didactics - 7.5 Credits | U–VG

Entry Requirements

  • Sport Pedagogy 7,5 credits and Sustainable Sports Coaching 7,5 credits

Other Information

This course cannot be counted towards the same degree along with courses that have equivalent content.
