Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
- discuss and problematise, at a basic level, the school subject physical education
and health from various didactical perspectives in relation both to summer outdoor education and to forms and expressions used in society’s movement cultures - at a basic level, move in a versatile manner using forms and contexts of movement that relate to summer outdoor education relevant to the profession
- demonstrate, based on the chosen purpose, content and target group, as well as in relation to current government documents, sports didactical competence in
planning, implementing and evaluating teaching situations in summer outdoor
education
Course Content
- Basic motor skills and complex movements through swimming and water play
- Different ways of swimming
- Diving
- Techniques for lifesaving with different materials
Assessment
Embodied examination and written assignment.
Grades
The grading scale used for the final course grade is U–VG.
Grades are reported as follows:
- Embodied examination and written assignment. - 3 Credits | U–VG
Prerequisites
- Admitted to CPD education for Teachers
Other Information
This course cannot be counted towards the same degree along with courses that have equivalent content.
If the student has received a decision/recommendation granting study support from Dalarna University because of a disability, then the examiner has the right to offer an alternative examination arrangement. The examiner takes into account the objectives in the course syllabus when deciding whether the examination can be adapted in accordance with the decision/recommendation.
