Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will, at a basic level, be able to:
Describe the structure and function of the components of the musculoskeletal  system and function that contribute to movement

Course Content

The course highlights topographical and functional anatomy where the focus is on the location and function of the skeletal parts, joints and muscles. Furthermore, emphasis is put on describing movements, depending on the origin and attachment of the muscles, based on the body’s three planes of movement and the type of muscle contraction.

Other Information

The course is offered in collaboration with the Swedish Powerlifting Federation. The course cannot be included in the same Dalarna University degree as the course Functional Anatomy (Judo), 3 credits.
