  • select technical building solutions for building construction
  • perform load calculations
  • dimension construction elements of wood, steel and concrete
  • construct nodes and joints
  • dimension geoconstructions
  • perform design calculations with computer programs
  • give an account of completed calculations and CAD drawings in a report

Course Content

In the course, the supporting structure in a building is designed and dimensioned according to a model in the form of architectural drawings and descriptions. Loads are determined and different load cases are calculated. Construction elements are dimensioned and attachments for these are designed. Frame stabilisation is designed and dimensioned. Foundation and structural elements affected by earth loads are dimensioned. Developed construction is described and drawn in CAD. Assumptions, regulations and calculations and drawings are presented in a report.
