Summary in English

Knowledge and understanding
After completing the course, the student should be able to:

  • demonstrate knowledge of central moral philosophical concepts, principles and normative ethical theories
  • problematize and analyze physical education and leadership in termsof ethics and as based on the notion of the morally good sports leader.

Skills and abilities
After completing the course, the student should be able to:

  • identify, describe and discuss various central ethical questions and issues in sport and sport leadership, such as doping, justice, fair play and power
  • search and collect relevant information and critically evaluate different sources of information
  • adopt a scientifically critical approach to ethics and leadership in sport, as well as apply rules of scientific writing with regard to formalities and structure
  • orally and in writing communicate abstract reasoning at an elementary level.

Values and attitudes
After completing the course, the student should be able to:

  • systematically reflect on ethical issues related to sport in general and to sport leadership in particular.
