Learning Outcomes

After the course the student is expected to understand and be capable of using basic concepts of business control such as budgeting, calculation and business analysis. In
addition the student should have developed some experience in the practical use of basic management tools for decision support regarding product assortment and investments.

Course Content

  1. Introduction to Business Control
  2. Basic concepts of business administration within cost-benefit analysis
  3. Budgeting and cost analysis in long- and short term
  4. Decision-making based on cost-benefit analysis
  5. Introduction to Balanced Scorecard

Assessment

Written exam and approved written assignments

Forms of Study

Lectures based on theoretical examples and practical problems in cost-benefit analysis and business control. Reporting of the written assignments.

The Swedish grades U–VG.
