Summary in English

This course focuses on narration and genres in television. Classic storytelling and mythology are compared with new forms and designs related to the media that have emerged over time. Drama for TV is explored in group workshops.
On completion of the course, the student shall be able to:

  • describe and define the differences between various serial narrative forms in television
  • understand and actively implement the work processes used by the professional series writers and evaluate the extent to which these processes can support and promote creative development
  • analyse the narrative structures of scripted series and apply dramaturgical solutions to structural problems
  • describe the basic features of narrative history and understand how myths and legends are used in modern dramatic works.
