Learning Outcomes

On completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • present, while demonstrating a detailed understanding, an overview of previous academic studies within a well-defined and delimited area relevant to intercultural literature studies
  • while demonstrating critical and theoretical awareness, make an independent selection of academic publications relevant to a defined research project
  • present, while demonstrating theoretical and analytical depth, a well-defined overview of previous research.

Course Content

In the course, students read and present academic publications belonging to a well-defined research area within intercultural literature studies. The focus and literature must relate to a planned degree project at the master‘s level and should be chosen in consultation with the teacher. The literature should comprise about 1500-2500 pages.

Assessment

  • Active participation in seminars
  • Oral presentations
  • A written assignment in the form of an annotated bibliography. 

Grades

The grading scale used for the final course grade is A–F.

Grades are reported as follows:

  • Annotated Bibliography - 7.5 Credits | A–F

Entry Requirements

  • 60 credits at Second Cycle, with 30 credits in the main field of study Intercultural Literature Studies

This course overlaps the previous course code AJP27B.

This course cannot be counted towards the same degree along with courses that have equivalent content.
