Learning outcomes for the course

After completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • account for and argue for the “Climbing for all“ concept.
  • plan and evaluate a ‘try it out’ climbing session for a specific group.
  • plan, implement and evaluate training sessions for climbers with different needs. 
  • account for and apply individulised and appropriate didactic methods and strategies for teaching climbers with different needs.
  • demonstrate understanding of and account for fundamental differences in forms of competition for children, young people, adults, and climbers with special needs.
  • plan and conduct information meetings about climbing for different targets groups.
  • give practical examples and propose new methods for how people can be recruited and retained in climbing and offered equal opportunities during their climbing lifetime.
