Learning outcomes for the course
After completing the course, the student shall be able to:- explain basic concepts and ideas in corpus linguistics
- describe what a corpus is and how it can be used in research on the French language
- argue for his/her selection of a corpus with a particular issue in mind, which can be either gathered by the student him-/herself or which can be material that is already available
- use appropriate methods of work with the selected corpus
- present this work orally and in writing with a critical approach
- in the form of constructive feedback, analyze and discuss the work of others by pointing out strengths as well as weaknesses.
