Activities for students

We offer you as a student a diverse range of group activities, lectures, and workshops to promote well-being and provide opportunities for personal development.

University walk and run 

In May 2026, the University walk and run was held for the fifth time. A lot of students and staff members participated in this fun event in Falun. Thanks to everyone who came!

In May 2027, the next University walk and run will be held. More information will come.

Tisdagshäng - Starting September 15th

Come join us for a free fika! You can play cards, study or just hang out for a while.

When: From September 15th 2026, every Tuesday at 13:00-14:30 PM.

Where: The students lunch room at campus Borlänge.

A peaceful moment - Starting again in September

Every Monday, the Student Health Services invites you to a moment of stillness and an opportunity to connect to yourself. Sometimes we just sit quietly together, sometimes we do a breathing- or mindfulness exercise. No prior knowledge or registration is required, just come as you are.

When: Summer break, starting again in September. Mondays at 12.05-12.15.

Where: Stilla rummet/Silent room (Ljusgården campus Falun).

Yin yoga - Fridays on zoom

Linneaus university invites you to a gentle, slow form of yoga where we hold the positions for 3-5 minutes. Meditation and stretch at the same time. Yin yoga aims to practice relaxation in muscles and stretch the connective tissue. It also helps you release mental stress, increases your mobility and calms your mind.

Appear at your computer just as you are, no pre-registration required. The class is held in English. 

Time: Starting again in September/October 2026. Every Friday 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM.

Dance for health

Do you feel stressed? Do you suffer from symptoms like anxiety, fatigue, rapid heartbeat, or headache? Then Dance for Health is for you!

Welcome as you are. You don´t need any previous dancing experience. You just need to be curious about how movement and dance can increase your well-being and lower your stress levels. 

No class is held during 2026, more information will come.

Silent room

Campus Falun: There is a silent room that may be used for praying, meditating or just taking a quiet break from your studies.

Campus Borlänge: We have a silent room (for praying, yoga etc) and a resting room (if you for example have a headache or just want to rest for a while). You find both rooms on floor 2.

Please, note that these rooms are not ment to be used for studying or if you get seriously ill.
