The study aims at illuminating how managers, responsible for the daily work activities, can be supported in the task of leading self managing employees and teams in an active way that enhances the competence of the team. The project is designed as a quasi-experimental study where interaction abilities within the employees are assessed before and after an intervention where their managers participate in a learning network. The central question is how managers purposely can create possibilities for and influence interactions and relations that facilitates self organisation and develops collective competence.
The practical aim is to develop ways to improve the communication habits of teams and thereby enhance their competence. Questions of reasearch deals with connection patterns between interaction, relation and competence in a social system.
