As dean and chair of the University Faculty Board, I work broadly with quality assurance of education and research. My own teaching and research primarily focus on the field of chronic pain and pain rehabilitation
I gained my degree in physiotherapy from Linköping University in 1997. Thereafter i worked in clinic as a physiotherapist until 2007 when I started teaching at Dalarna University. I defended my PhD in 2015, titled“Acupuncture for labour pain” at Karonlinska Institutet
I mostly teach within the Master's Programme in Physiotherapy
My main research area is chronic pain and pain rehabilitation. Im currently leader of our research group DU/Pain. Our research targets effects of; physical activity, the use of innovative interventional technology and interdisciplinary treatment programs. I'm also the vice director of The Research Centre for Public Health and Sports (RePS)
