Development of the Quality System

The purpose of the project is to develop and strengthen the University's current quality assurance processes for education and research. The work to develop the quality system will be coordinated with the Swedish Higher Education Authority review of our quality system set to take place in 2024.

Project - Purpose and General Goals

The purpose of the project is to develop and strengthen the University's current quality system to ensure high-quality education, research, and collaboration. A further purpose is to increase knowledge and understanding of the University’s quality assurance processes and the way the University works with these. Together, the project group plans to write a self-evaluation of the quality system, which will be sent to UKÄ. It will also prepare documentation for UKÄ's selected audit trails. There will also be interviews.

Project Organisation

Steering Group

The steering group will include the Advisory Council to the Vice-Chancellor and a student representative. It will lead and make decisions within established frameworks to ensure that the outcome of the project corresponds with the impact objective. Furthermore, it will provide the necessary resources and support those leading the project, while staying continuously informed about project status. The steering group will have the authority to make decisions about project changes, appoint advisory groups, approve project plans, initiate analyses, approve results, and end the project.

Project Management Group

The project management group is responsible for planning, leading, following up, and directing the project.

Reference Group

The reference group includes 1-2 people from each university school (institution), Central Administration (Verkamhetsstödet), the student union (or a student representative: this is optional since there is student representation in the steering group), and employee organisations. The group will have 15 digital meetings in 2024. Meetings aim to ensure the work of the reference group throughout the project while facilitating the participation of the representatives involved.
