Since September 2023, Jorryt van Bommel has been employed as a guestprofessor in mathematics education at Dalarna University. Her official position is at Karlstad University.

Primarily, Jorryt works with a competence development and research project 'problem solving in preschool class', where the teaching of mathematics in preschool class is in focus. Furthermore, she is involved in a VR-funded project about teachers on social media, as well as a project about enrichment in mathematics at upper secondary school.
