I am a senior lecturer in nursing with a strong commitment to education, research, and global health. My teaching spans specialist programmes in elderly care and dementia care, as well as an international master’s programme focused on sexual and reproductive health.
My teaching explores the complex and often transformative processes that older people experience in times of change, especially when facing the reality of approaching death. In the global master’s programme, my focus is on sexual and reproductive health from a global perspective. A central part of my work across all programmes is the supervision of master’s level theses.
My research has for several years focused on dignity and identity among older people at the end of life. Over the past year, my research interests have expanded to also include women during menopause. A common thread throughout my research is my strong interest in, and focus on, dignity and identity.
