My research focus is literacy instruction in preschool class. I am particularly interested in how instruction can be differentiated to follow and promote all students' literacy development for an equal education. In my dissertation study, I have conducted video observations and teacher interviews to gain knowledge about how teachers plan, implement and evaluate teaching that provides conditions for students to develop abilities that are important for literacy development, such as language awareness, decoding skills and reading comprehension.
