Dalarna University promotes the development of innovation activities at the university by increasing knowledge about innovation and strengthening contacts between Dalarna University and the outside world. Employees who want to do something concrete with their ideas and promote development can apply for internal innovation funds. These funds aim to support innovative ideas to grow from concept to reality.
Dalarna University receives what is termed innovation office funding (innovationskontorsmedel), via Uppsala Innovation, from the government. Some of this funding goes towards our internal innovation support and is intended to complement the work of UUI.
Dalarna University employees (whose post is at least 50 percent of full-time) can apply for funding for innovation activities. The support can be used for costs such as travel, accommodation, premises, services, equipment and working hours. (Note: keep in mind that time generates OH on salary/lkp and traktamente.)
Innovation support can also be used for interdisciplinary groups that wish to increase their understanding and knowledge of innovation or develop joint projects that involve innovation. Support should go towards benefitting the university and society, and it needs to be clear how this is the case. The support cannot be used for research.
You can apply on an ongoing basis using the form below. The maximum amount that can be granted is SEK 40 000. The application is handled by the Office of Management Support and Finance.
Please contact Sofia Reyier Österling, sre@du.se, with questions about the application or for advice.
Innovation support is managed at Dalarna University in communication with UUI. As an initial step, the support is best used both to clarify the idea using a study and also to draw up a plan. After this, UUI support may be relevant. Please contact Nhils Forslund, UUI, to talk about assistance: nhils.forslund@uu.se.
