About the Research Programme
At Dalarna University, approximately 70 percent of all students are enrolled in online courses and programmes. A university-wide research programme is being developed where pedagogical and didactic research will inform the academic foundation of online education.
The research programme “Online Education and Digital Competence in Higher Education” aims to investigate the conditions relating to online education as a step towards developing teaching methods, thereby allowing for greater flexibility and new pathways to knowledge. A need exists to explore and develop strategies to facilitate learning in a changing and digitalised world.
