The Academic Ceremony is a time to recognise and celebrate the successes and accomplishments of members of academic staff, and also to show appreciation for the good work being done at the University.
All university employees, each with one guest, are invited to the post-ceremony banquet at a subsidised cost. You can find your invitation in your university postbox. If you are not on campus, contact your immediate manager to receive an invitation; it is also available on the staff website (medarbetarwebben).
Inaugural Lectures - March 23
New professors will share their research and experiences during open lectures in the University Library, Campus Falun.
No pre-registration is required.

Day of the Academic Ceremony - March 24
The Ceremony – 17.00
The ceremony will be held at Galaxen in Borlänge. During the ceremony, doctoral degrees and honorary doctorates will be conferred, new Professors will be inaugurated, and Docents, Adjunct Professors, Visiting Professors, Distinguished University Teachers and Recognised University Teachers will be honoured.
Banquet and Dance – 19.00
The ceremony itself will be followed by a three-course banquet and dancing at Galaxen in Borlänge. The cost per person is SEK 500.
