Adyam Markos, an international student in the Master's Programme in Business Intelligence at Dalarna University, won first prize with EatSyncly, a digital platform that helps users optimise energy, focus and wellbeing by aligning eating habits with the body's biological rhythms. The platform combines research in chrono-nutrition with data analysis to provide personalised recommendations.

– Winning first prize shows that the vision behind EatSyncly has real potential. My ambition is to use advanced data analysis to make research on the body's biological rhythms more accessible and useful in everyday life. I am grateful for the support I have received from Dalarna Science Park and look forward to continuing to develop the idea as it enters its next phase, says Adyam Markos.

Third prize went to Oskar Linnaeus, a student on the Music Production Programme, for PLACEPLAY. The app uses geofencing technology to adapt music and audio experiences to the user's location and movement. Users can create personalised audio zones where playlists and soundscapes are triggered automatically based on their location.

– It is encouraging to see our students not only developing new ideas but also achieving success in regional innovation competitions. Their accomplishments demonstrate how education, creativity and entrepreneurship can work together to create solutions to real societal challenges, says Jonas Tosteby, Vice-Rector for Education at Dalarna University.

The competition, "Jag har en idé" (“I Have an Idea”), is organised by Dalarna Science Park in collaboration with Sparbanksstiftelsen Dalarna. The first-prize winner receives a scholarship of SEK 15,000 and business coaching to help further develop their idea.

The results highlight the entrepreneurial spirit and innovative thinking among students at Dalarna University.
