This is how you get subtitles on your lectures

As a student you now have the possiblity of getting subtitles on your lectures and other videos, such as seminars or meetings.

Subtitles on videos is an important piece of the puzzle that is accessible and inclusive learning environment. Therefore we are very happy to be able to now offer subtitles on our lectures, says Joacim Svensson, project manager at NGL Centre, Dalarna University.

A few of your elctures might already have subtitles. But for those that don't or for those subtitles that is slightly lacking in quality you can now help the university by telling us which videos we need to add subtitles to or correct subtitles for.

This is how you do it:

  • You as a student navigate a specific video, click on the flag icon in the player and select the option "Saknad/bristande undertext".
  • If there are no subtitles on that video, one will be created shortly. If there are subtitles the university will make sure to revise and improve the subtitles.
