Joint Leaving Ceremony in June

Starting in 2026, Dalarna University will consolidate its graduation celebrations into one joint ceremony that will be held at the end of the spring semester. All students, regardless of when they complete their studies, will be recognised and invited to attend.

The leaving ceremony is a cherished tradition at Dalarna University, and one in which we recognise and celebrate our students for their achievements and the dedication they have shown throughout their studies.

To preserve this tradition while ensuring the ceremony maintains a high standard of quality, a decision has been made to hold the graduation ceremony once a year at the end of the spring semester. (Previously, two ceremonies were held per year.) This change reflects the need to prioritise university resources, and by combining the celebration into a single event, we will be able to maintain the ceremony’s formal and festive character.

All students who complete their studies during the autumn semester will be invited to the spring celebration, where they will be recognised in the usual manner. Invitations with information about the spring graduation ceremony will be sent out during the semester.
