I'm a teacher in informatics, mainly web development. It suits me very well, since I've been interested in web deveopment and programming for 25 years. I've kept studying and working with IT ever since, in one form or another.
My interest for web development started around 1999. Since then, I've almost always studied, worked or had personal projects regarding the topic.
In the Swedish rough equivalent to High School, I studied Graphical Communication. There I also started developing in Adobe Flash, which led me onto the path of script programming.
2006 I started to study the programme "Design of Digital Media" at Dalarna University. It was a programme design to bridge the gap between digital media professionals and it- and programming, since the areas started to affect each other more and more during this time period.
After a year, however, I changed programme to It-design and System Architecture, wich was a programme closely related to the System Science Programme, and gave me a Bachelor degree in Informatics.
The combination of these studies has given me deep knowledge in both programming, object oriented concepts and databases, as well as UX, web design, and web development, both frontend and backend.
In my professional years since, I've worked with it and system development in many different forms. I've been a software developer, QA, QA-manager, project manager and system maintenence manager. The final years, before comming to Dalarna University, I worked as system maintenance manager for the Road and Railway Department at the Swedish Transport Agency. I was also head of digitalization for the department.
I teach courses Dynamic Web Applications (GIK2F8) and Design of Web Applications (GIK2QR)
The focus within my courses around JavaScript, but since the topic is web development, other parts such as CSS-frameworks, component driven design and git, fits within my curriculums as well.
