The following applies if you have stated that you will attend the ceremony:

You will receive updates (a newsletter) from hogtid@du.se to your university email address. This will keep you updated on ceremony planning and important deadlines.
The inauguration - also called installation - of professors is a tradition that dates back to the Middle Ages. It has its roots in the ecclesiastical tradition of installing newly appointed cathedral priests (also known as canons) in the choir stalls (stallum in Latin).
Registration: Ceremony and Banquet
The Academic Ceremony will be held at Kulturhuset tio14 and will be followed by a banquet at Magasinet in Falun. Everyone who will be honoured needs to register themself and all their accompanying guests to the banquet.
- The University invites new professors to attend the banquet with one guest at no cost.
- You may invite two additional guests to attend the banquet at a subsidised cost.
- We recommend that guests be at least 15 years old.
