Thesis for master‘s degree (one year) in materials engineering

The aim of the thesis is that the student should be able to apply advanced knowledge in the field of material technology by performing a research or industrial work. More specifically, the student should be able to:

  • independently planning and carrying out a project in a scientific way
  • document this work in a systematically way in a report
  • demonstrate knowledge and understanding in materials technology, including both an overview of the area and in-depth knowledge in certain parts of the field as well as insight into current research and development work
  • identify their need for further knowledge and take responsibility for their knowledge development
  • present and defend your own work and oppose the work of others orally and in writing
