Summary in English

The course aims to deepen and develop a basic knowledge of the German language and thus prepare the student for further university studies. Upon completion of the course the students should be able to:

  • read and discuss longer and complex texts about topics well known
  • read and dicuss the main content in longer authentic texts
  • describe the main content in authentic speech in every-day situations
  • interact orally, and with variation, in every-day situations
  • express themselves in writing, and with variation, in different situations
  • demonstrated knowledge of the structure of the German langauge and apply this in oral and written assignments as well as in critical analyses of differences between the Swedish and the German language
  • demonstrate knowledge of German-speaking societies and independently perform presentations about cultural phenomenon with the help of digital techniques.
