The main goal of this course is to develop the written communication skills in Italian.

- write different kinds of text in correct Italian and adapt the language to different situations,
- demonstrate a knowledge and an ability to apply Italian grammar structures in writing, and
- demonstrate the ability to choose correct vocabulary which fits the context and correct grammar structures in translations of Swedish texts.
Course Content
The course deals with a survey of Italian grammar, applied in different types of exercises.
Assessment
The course is examined through continuous assessment of seminar activity, assignments and two final written exams.
Forms of Study
The course is taught in Italian and consists in both seminars and individual conversations with each student.
Grades
The Swedish grades U–VG.
To get the grade of VG on the whole course, VG is required on module 2 and 4.
Reporting of grades:
Module 1: Active participation in seminars and assignments - 1 cr
Module 2: Final written exam in translation - 2 cr
Module 3: PM - 2 cr
Module 4: Final written exam in grammar - 2.5 cr

- Italian Courses: Oral Proficiency I, Writing Proficiency I, and Italian Texts: Twentieth Century Literature
