As a researcher, you are responsible for processing and managing research data and personal data in a secure manner that is in accordance with existing laws and regulations.

Research Data

As a public authority, Dalarna University must document, store, archive and make available research data that is produced or collected throughout the research process.

If you are a researcher, then you are responsible for the research data in your project. You can receive help to develop a data management plan that ensures that your research data is stored in the best way and that it does not risk disappearing.

Personal Data

If you need additional assistance, you can contact the University's Data Protection Officer who can advise and assist in the management of personal data, such as with regard to the following:

Notification of personal data processing.
Design of information for researchers.
Management of the rights of data subjects.
Protection of personal data – risk assessment and security measures.

The University’s Senior Legal Advisor can help you with legal questions relating to research projects, such as agreements and intellectual property rights, including your rights to the results of your research.
