What do we mean by truth and what role, if any, does truth have in scientific work? Does science aim at true accounts of the world, or can true accounts of the world be realized, or is this simply an obsolete notion of the past? There will first be a short introduction based on an early idea of Habermas concerning human knowledge and human interest. This will be followed by a discussion concerning these ideas and sport science. No pre-reading is required for the seminar.
The seminar is intended for students, academics, researchers, and professionals from different research fields, and aims at a critical discussion of underlying assumptions of our professional/research practices.
