Course Content
The course involves individual, independent studies and provides the student with the opportunity to specialize within a theme related to human rights. Human rights have become a dominant framework for how states and citizens/individuals should act in relation to each other. At the same time, there are concerns raised that the language of human rights is insufficiently flexible to specific cultures and may support oppressive structures. From this research field, the student chooses a theme, while the course literature is decided upon through consultation with the teacher.
