After completing the course, the student shall be able to:
- show the ability to formulate a problem statement with related research questions based on insights into current research and development within the field of subject didactics
- conduct an independent and inquiry-oriented scientific study related to previous research by applying relevant theories and methods
- show the ability to independently and critically systematize, analyze and problematize empirical material, and based on the results present a scientific argument
- orally and in writing, present and argue for the findings of the study, as well as relate to scientific critique in a professional and constructive manner
- demonstrate in-depth knowledge within a limited area of subject didactics by contributing to knowledge development of importance to the teacher profession
- show the ability to analyze, assess and discuss scientific studies of others by giving clear and constructive response, and by pointing out strengths as well as aspects that are in need of development.
