Upon on completion of the course, the student shall be able to
- categorize and perform calculations on energy use in buildings, and propose and motivate relevant energy-saving measures
- describe how an energy examination of a building is performed
- perform calculations on both components and subsystems in different types of industrial activities and assess the energy-savings potential in terms of, for example, lighting, motors and compressed-air installations
- describe the type of information and statistics that need to be collected in order for an energy analysis of a company activity to be conducted
- use appropriate calculation methods for the analysis of energy-efficiency measures in companies and buildings
- perform an energy audit of a manufacturing company, including an analysis of present-state and energy-efficient proposals for action, in order to make the energy use more efficient
