The course consists of an industrial internship. A series of seminars (of which most are held on-line) completes the studies.
The course aims to make the student develop an awareness of the differences between studying Image Production and working within the media production industry. The student will be able to account for the organization of a place of work, its professions or work-roles, its forms of employment, as well as its clients, if any. These structural aspects of a place of work, as well as its ethical issues, will also be analyzed in relation to the kind of media production that takes place there. The student will be able to discuss the meaning of being a creative agent in a specific work-role at a specific production facility, that must be aware of his/her role as a participant in ‘public communication‘.
The student will also show awareness of his/her personal qualifications for an occupation within the media production industry, and be able to relate those qualifications to current conditions within the industrial segment that his/her place of work belongs to. He/she must be able to present problems and issues of production in running media production, as well as their possible solutions. The student willl also be able to account for his/her own contribution to creative processes at the place of work.
