Learning outcomes for the course

On completion of the course, the student shall be able to:

  • demonstrate basic knowledge of political systems in different countries,
  • demonstrate understanding of different institutional features such as federal and unitary states, parliamentarism and presidentialism, proportional and majority election systems, democratic and non-democratic systems,
  • demonstrate basic knowledge of comparative method and how systematic comparisons between countries can be conducted.
