Learning outcomes for the course
On completion of the course the student should be able to:
- present ancient Italian literary history up to the seventeenth century, including representative writers in this period
- demonstrate the ability to understand and assimilate ancient Italian texts
- demonstrate a good knowledge of literary terminology and literary concepts
- independently reflect on ancient texts and related historical and cultural aspects
- present a clear argument orally and in writing in a stylistically effective and appropriate manner.
