Learning outcomes for the course
On completion of this course, students will be able to- show knowledge and understanding of the chosen research field for the thesis, an awareness of the scientific background of the field, a knowledge about applied methodology in the field research, an in depth-knowledge in some part of the field and an awareness of current research issues;
- demonstrate an ability to search for, collect, evaluate and critically interpret and analyse relevant information in a research question and critically discuss the key issue;
- show an ability to independently identify, formulate and solve the research question and conduct the study within the fixed given time;
- demonstrate an ability, both orally and in writing, to present and argue for information, problems and possible solutions;
- show the skills needed to work independently and to finish the research; and
- show an ability to identify the need of further knowledge and competence.
