Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • describe basic terms and methods in the field of quality, and the importance of quality for an organisation
  • analyse production results and develop plans that address quality improvement
  • analyse quality problems of physical products and develop plans that address quality improvement
  • describe the design of quality management systems and the way they are employed
  • examine the value of ethical judgements in a systematic manner
