Upon completion of the course, students should be able to:
  • demonstrate a basic understanding of the fundamental conditions for educational policy and for the role of education in the development of African societies
  • explain and discuss issues of educational policy with particular relevance to conditions in Africa
  • analyse the relationships between global processes and social change in African societies.
