Tuition Fee Refunds
Information for students beginning their studies at Dalarna University in the autumn semester in 2021 who request a refund:
There will be no administrative fee charged, regardless of the reason you are requesting a refund.
Newly admitted students starting their studies in the autumn semester in 2021 can get a full tuition fee refund even if they have registered and started their courses, as long as they discontinue all their courses by September 19th. To be able to receive a full refund the student needs to register the discontinuation of all courses in the student platform Ladok, by themselves, within 21 days from the official date that the course begins.
If your request for a refund is approved, you will receive a refund to the same payment source (bank account, credit card, etc.) from which the original transaction was made.
No refund will be made as a result of the following:
- Academic suspension or expulsion as a disciplinary measure.
- Withdrawals or leaves of absence from a programme/course.
Also note that:
- Normally you are not refunded for any part of the programme/course(s) you have already registered to study. As stated above, an exception to this rule is temporarily in effect for newly admitted students starting their studies in the autumn semester 2021. You must discontinue your studies as explained above in order to be eligible for a refund after starting your classes August 2021.
- The University does not pay interest on refunds.
