English for Academic Purposes

Please note that the price for the English for Academic Purposes course package is 52,500 SEK.
This course package is intended to prepare international students for university studies in which English is the language of instruction. It consists of four courses which focus on critical reading, academic writing, pronunciation of English as an international language, and oral communication and presentation skills. Obligatory seminars take place several times a week and active participation in the seminars is expected. Students need general entrance requirements with a solid background in English (IELTS Academic 5.5 with no component score below 5.0, or equivalent) before the start of the course in order to successfully complete the courses in one term. The course is only open to fee-paying students.

Surf on the Internet, read and send emails, use a word-processing programme (e.g. Word). Connect a camera and headphones to the computer and install a programme using instructions.

Access to a computer (Not a mini pc, tablet or similar) that is not older than three years (or equivalent) and broadband connection, at least 1 Mbit/s (not mobile broadband, because mobile broadband can vary considerably in speed).
- Means of Education:

Higher rate of web-based communication where our learning platform (Learn) is a natural element of the course. Web-based meetings with sound and image where simple presentations can be held. Lectures can be broadcast live or can alternatively be made available afterwards online.
